Obsidian Integration
If you use Obsidian, your notes go directly to your vault. The app offers a nice viewer of your daily journal, supporting various vault formats.
Calendar Event Recognition
When you mention a future event, Voice Inbox recognizes it and automatically creates an event on your calendar.
Journal Entry Integration
Automatically appends voice and text entries from Voice Inbox to a daily note with the 'Inbox' heading. If the heading doesn't exist, it creates a new note. Single-line entries are bullet-pointed with timestamps, while multi-line entries are formatted as subheadings.
Recording Time Management
The app supports recordings under 15 minutes. It isn't designed for long entries, as longer recordings may not function optimally.
Built-in Speech Recognition
Voice Inbox uses built-in speech recognition on devices to transcribe entries. This is a free feature, but with lower accuracy compared to specialized services.
Calendar Event Integration
Allows addition of voice transcribed entries as calendar events. Requires calendar permissions and can only be added through voice entries. Currently, past events are ignored.
Voice Command Simplification
Simplifies calendar event creation by allowing users to mention event details like date and time during voice recordings without specific command syntax.
