Visibility Icon
Switches message visibility to 'secret'. When composing a message, you can tap the Visibility Icon in the toolbar to make the message secret.

Secret messages will remain hidden for your friends until the scheduled time arrives, and you cannot see or edit them once sent.
Message Invites via iMessage
You can send message invites to friends via iMessage, allowing them to accept the messages in their Hi Future Self app.
Notifications and Reminders
HiFutureSelf allows you to send messages to your future self using notifications and reminders. These notifications are setup within the app and require specific settings on your device to function properly. Notifications include features like sounds, badge app icon, display on lock screen, and more.
Local Notifications
The app uses local notifications which are triggered by the device itself. This ensures privacy as the data is not sent to any server. Local notifications work offline and conserve battery.
Push Notifications
Although HiFutureSelf mainly uses local notifications, push notifications can also be used. These are sent (or 'pushed') from a server to your device.
Location-Based Alerts
Users can enable location-based alerts for their messages to ensure they are delivered based on geographic location. This requires additional settings on the user's device.
Privacy-Focused
HiFutureSelf does not collect or store any personal data on servers. All notifications and messages remain on the device.
Pause Repeating Messages
Allows you to swipe your repeating message from left to right to pause it. The message turns orange to indicate it's paused.
Resume Repeating Messages
Enables you to swipe your paused repeating message from left to right to resume it. The message turns green to show it's active again.
Future Message Invites
Allows you to send personalized invites to your friends. You can schedule messages for a specific date and time or location, surprising your friend with a hidden message at the perfect moment.
Invite Button
Launch HiFutureSelf, write a message, select a time/location, and tap the 'Send to Friends' icon to turn your message into an invite. You can send it via iMessage.

Allows you to send message invites via iMessage. Recipients can tap on the invite to accept them into their HiFutureSelf app.
Secret Messages
Messages will remain hidden from friends until the designated time arrives, keeping the message content a surprise.
Apple Pay Merchant Identification
Tied to your physical Apple Card. Recommended to enable if you have an Apple Card.
Cell Network Search
Sends data to Apple to locate nearby cell towers. Safe to enable.
Compass Calibration
Enhances the compass app experience. Useful for apps like Google or Apple Maps.

Notification Center through the Lock Screen
Access the notification center by pressing the iPhone power button to lock the phone, then press it again to display the lock screen where you can swipe up to view notifications.
See Your Old Notifications Again
Swipe up from the middle of the screen on the lock screen to bring in old notifications from the bottom to the top.
Individual Notifications
Notifications on the lock screen are grouped by app. Tapping a group will unveil individual notifications within it.
Send Future Notifications
Allows scheduling of notifications to be sent at any time in the future, including reminders, affirmations, and motivation. Notifications can be scheduled based on your location.
Notification Center without the Lock Screen
For newer iPhones (X, XS, 11, 12, 13, 14, Pro), swipe down from the top-left of the screen to access the notification center any time without the lock screen. On iOS 17, swipe up from the center to see old notifications.
